Dan Carreno, Change Finance:
Welcome to The ESG update presented by Change Finance. I'm Dan Carreno.

Brittany Damico, Change Finance:
And I'm Brittany Damico.

Dan Carreno, Change Finance:
Brittany and I manage the business development efforts at Change Finance. We are an ETF provider dedicated to environmental, social and governance investing. And our mission is to help investors align their portfolios with their values without sacrificing returns, Brittany, how's everything going in your world?

Brittany Damico, Change Finance:
I'm really excited. I'm actually heading up to the San Juan islands soon to hopefully kayak with some wild orcas.

Dan Carreno, Change Finance:
Orcas! Wow! I did not expect orcas to come into the podcast today. That might be a good lead in to a question I wanted to ask you. How do you feel about life below water?

Brittany Damico, Change Finance:
My favorite thing.

Dan Carreno, Change Finance:
Okay. What about life on land?

Brittany Damico, Change Finance:
A close second.

Dan Carreno, Change Finance:
Okay. Okay. Health and wellbeing, gender equality. Are these things also your jam?

Brittany Damico, Change Finance:
Oh, of course, of course.

Dan Carreno, Change Finance:
Alright. Fair enough. It sounds like you are probably then pretty much on board with the United nations Sustainable Development Goals. Is that fair to say?

Brittany Damico, Change Finance:
Oh, absolutely.

Dan Carreno, Change Finance:
Awesome. Well, in that case, can you tell me exactly where the SDGs came from? Who crafted them? Why are there 17 instead of 32?

Brittany Damico, Change Finance:
I could not.

Dan Carreno, Change Finance:
Okay. Well, neither can I. I realized that after I listened to a new podcast that comes out from our friends over at InvestmentNews. It's a podcast called Impact Adventures and the hosts, Liz Skinner and Steven Lamb, are doing a deep dive into the Sustainable Development Goals. Each episode, they are focusing on one goal and a business that is doing something meaningful to make progress toward addressing that goal. I’ve got to tell you I've really been enjoying the podcast. So we're going to do something a little bit different this week. Brittany, how would you feel if we just turned over the podcast to Liz and Steven from Impact Adventures?

Brittany Damico, Change Finance:
I think that's a great idea. Let's let them take it away.

Dan Carreno, Change Finance:
I like how you're willing to cede some territory. We’re going to gracefully step aside now and play for you the first episode of Impact Adventures. This is a history of the Sustainable Development Goals. And then the subsequent episodes go into individual stories about each goal. We really hope that you enjoy the podcast. Without further ado here is Liz and Steven to talk about history of the SDGs.
